Seasons in The South

January 25, 2010

The following four images are for a display in our local pediatricians’ office. I can’t tell you how long it took me to decide on which images to use. They will be lined up horizontally along the front main wall. I hope you can really feel the seasons in each one of these images. I haven’t printed the large images yet [they will most likely be 20"x30"] so, before I do, I would be thrilled to get your feedback.

I was beyond excited to be asked to contribute photos for this project. Now, I’m even more excited to share with you the finished product*:

Collaborate: Volume One

One of the most awesome [and humbling] things about taking part in this collaboration is being in the company of five phenomenally talented photographers and artists. But the best part is that a portion of the the sales go to help a great cause. I should also mention, A&I photographic did a phenomenal job putting together and printing the book. Thank you so much, Dee, for inviting me to be a part of this.

[*My images are the last five in the book, and the bottom two images on the front cover.]

Below are some [mildly edited] photos from the one-day Heroes, Villains and Special Effects event extravaganza at the North Carolina Museum of Life and Science. Man am I glad that I’m “press”, or we never would have gotten a parking space!

I had the pleasure of photographing the opening of the new Dinosaur Trail at the North Carolina Museum of Life and Science. Below are a few of my favorite shots but, if you’re in the Triangle area, you really should get over there and check it out for yourself. Kids or no!

Below are my submissions for A&I’s new book A&I Presents: A Collection of Collaboration. The book will include upwards of 15 artists, and each artist will be given 3-4 two-page spreads within the book. It will be the first of A&I’s books to have its own ISBN number and will be sold on their website to benefit The Heart Project. It’s still in production, but I will update this blog when it is available for purchase. I’m not sure which of the following photos will be used, but these are the ones I submitted for the two-page layout (click thumbnail for full image):
