Welcome, Winter.

October 19, 2009

I get a little warm in my heart when I think of winter...

[I realize it's only October, but we've had a couple winter-worthy days. Hence the bundling.]

Her eyes are getting brown in the middle but she still has a gray ring around them!

What a cutie drool-baby.

About that drool – aren’t you loving the “lipgloss effect”? I wish *I* could droop on my lips and make them look that good.

Wow. Just wow.

All I want for Christmas…

[Seriously. Christmas, birthdays, you-name-the-gift-receiving-holidays. Other than this holy trinity, I want for nothing other than health and happiness.]

Is THAT all??? It does make shopping easy…all we need is an extra several thousand dollars. :-$

Meghan posted the following on October 5, 2009 at 4:03 pm.

Or, $25. Every little bit towards them is a most excellent gift. That, or the pleasure of your company [of course].

Oh Meghan, this is absolutely STUNNING. You never cease to amaze me. <3

I wish I could think of a word to sum up how I feel about this photo. Breathless isn’t even close.

Museum Con

September 14, 2009

Below are some [mildly edited] photos from the one-day Heroes, Villains and Special Effects event extravaganza at the North Carolina Museum of Life and Science. Man am I glad that I’m “press”, or we never would have gotten a parking space!

What a great event – you captured it beautifully!

I hate to think of all the moments I would have missed without one.

I love those underwater shots. Well, I love all those shots. You guys rock so hard! :D

If I had a point-and-shoot that would actually let me point *and* shoot, I might actually buy into that.

Meghan posted the following on August 4, 2009 at 12:34 pm.

Matt, even my P&S doesn’t P&S! I got the first generation of underwater “tough” P&S (Olympus Tough 6000), and it has pretty major shutter lag. So, anticipation and luck play major factors in getting decent shots!

Fabulous pics!

Wonderful! As always. Look at that little chub-muffin in your arms!!!

I love that last picture. Happy families!

I had the pleasure of photographing the opening of the new Dinosaur Trail at the North Carolina Museum of Life and Science. Below are a few of my favorite shots but, if you’re in the Triangle area, you really should get over there and check it out for yourself. Kids or no!

I wish I could get you to photograph my sister’s family. You’d do a brilliant job! Stupid ocean.

Just like I said the other night. You make people look wonderfully relaxed and happy.

I had a great shoot with a lovely family this past Sunday. Their son is almost three, and baby #2 is due in July. It was a gorgeous day and they were tons of fun to work with! Here is a preview:
